个体系统的建构——广州美术学院研究生专题展

  美院研究生无疑还处于在校学习、积累的阶段,从书籍中,从导师那里,从社会与艺术实践中不断吸收养料,同时更为重要的是,要将这些养料转化到自己的研究中来,逐步掌握独立研究的能力,在这种学习、研究的过程中,最终要达到的是作为个体系统的建构。当然,这种个体系统不是自娱自乐的游戏,而是身处在艺术系统之中的,针对这个系统提出自己的问题。也就是说,美院研究生要在这三年的时间里,逐步将自己培养成一个有独立思考的艺术家,至少是在艺术某方面具有独到见解的人。这,无疑是一个艰苦的过程。

  本次参展的十多位研究生,出自广州美术学院研究生中期考察展览,主要是在纯艺术领域逐渐建构自身系统的青年艺术家。他们的探索也许还不够成熟,但是我们希望借助这样的一次次的视觉与思维交汇的机遇,带给他们成长的启迪,同时也让更多的人看到美术学科研究生学习、研究和创作的阶段切片。
 

Construction of Individual System: A Special Exhibition of Graduate Students of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts

There is no doubt that the graduate students of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts are still in the stage of school learning and accumulation, they constantly absorb nutrients from books and their mentors, from the social and artistic practice, at the same time, what’s more important is that they need transform these nutrients into their own study, then gradually improve the ability of independent study, in the process of learning and research, they finally achieve the construction of individual system. Of course, this kind of individual system is not a game to entertain themselves, but a question asked by themselves about the art system, when the graduate students are in this system. That is to say in the three years, the graduate students of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts need gradually training themselves to become artists with independent thinking, at least become people who have independent thinking about art. This, no doubt, is a difficult process.

In this exhibition we have more than ten graduate students from middle-selection exhibition of graduate students of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, most of them are young artists who have been gradually constructing their own system in the field of pure art. Their Exploration may still not mature enough, but we hope to give them the enlightenment of growth by this kind of opportunity of visual and thinking’s intersection, and also let more people to know the phased achievements of art graduate students’ study, research and creation.
